Soft Tongues: A bioacoustic opera

Soft Tongues: A bioacoustic opera

In the image a frog/human figure stands centre leaning into a microphone, a cascade of green shimmer textiles pours out in front of them onto the floor. Beside them hang two monitors/speakers covered in moss and vines.

In the performance Soft Tongues, the audience was centrally located as the performance happened to the center of them (see image above) and 360 degrees around them (see picture beside)

In the image, there are figures and the shadows of figures projected onto a shear fabric. A red light illuminates the entire scene.

Audio an is improvisational rehearsal audio for the ensemble of Soft tongues: a bioacoustics opera. Video credit to Ulysses Coppard.
